Addison Rae shows her Led Zeppelin fandom in band T-shirt as she steps out in NYC

She may be a star of the modern era.

But Addison Rae showed off some of her throwback tastes when she was spotted stepping out in New York this Friday.

The 21-year-old TikTok superstar threw on a Led Zeppelin t-shirt as she emerged onto the sidewalk in the city that never sleeps.

Mover and shaker: Addison Rae showed off some of her throwback tastes when she was spotted stepping out in New York this Friday

Addison opted for 1990s chic, throwing the t-shirt over a sweatshirt and adding to the effect with a pair of torn jeans.

Rolling up her hems over a pair of black leather boots, she accessorized with a bulging handbag and a necklace.

Addison wound her hair into an updo and accentuated her unmistakable features with makeup for her latest outing.

The social media starlet, who is pals with reality TV icon Kourtney Kardashian, was seen earlier that day modeling another look.

Addison Rae championed off-duty style as she stepped out in New York City.

The influencer completed her casual get-up with Dr. Martens' 'Jadon' boots, which are crafted from smooth leather, with a lace-up front and signature yellow stitching.

A classic pair of Dr. Martens like these won't ever go out of style, so they're well worth the investment. Follow in Addison's footsteps by clicking the image to purchase a pair now.

She strutted her stuff in SoHo wearing a green striped sweater, ensuring she stayed hydrated by keeping a large water bottle on her.

Just this Monday she had been across the Atlantic attending the Fashion Awards at the Royal Albert Hall in London and mingling with Wisdom Kaye and KSI.

Addison could be seen posing up a storm also with former America's Next Top Model contestant Winnie Harlow who has vitiligo.

A couple of months ago Addison was 'permanently banned' from TikTok on account of what the site called 'multiple violations of our Community Guidelines.'

Back in black: She had a black leather bag with a long strap with her, and she rocked a tall set of black combat boots

She tweeted a screen-grab of the Tik ok message informing her of her ban, whose reasons remain unknown. 'Well time to get a job,' she joked.

By the next morning though her account was reinstated and a TikTok representative was assuring Page Six: 'Addison’s account is up and running as normal. Her account was briefly down last night then restored within the hour.'

At the moment she is romantically involved with Israeli musician Omer Fedi who has performed with such artists as Justin Bieber and Lil Nas X.

Early Grateful Dead T-shirt Sells For Record US$17,640

One of the earliest official Grateful Dead T-shirts sold for a record-breaking price of US$17,640 at a Sotheby's auction recently.

The sale broke a record for auctioned vintage rock band T-shirts established in a 2011 online eBay auction for a 1979 Led Zeppelin shirt that went for US$10,000.

The 1967 shirt, described as being in "excellent condition" on the Sotheby's auction web page, came from the collection of Dan Healy, an audio engineer who worked for the Grateful Dead in the 1970s. The winning bidder on October 15 was Bo Bushnell, who actually paid US$19,315.80 after fees and taxes.

Bushnell runs an Instagram page called Outlaw Archive, which is dedicated to showcasing memorabilia of 1960s California motorcycle clubs.

The record-setting T-shirt—which has not been authenticated as being the first to be issued by the world-famous pioneering rock band but is thought to be among them—was designed by Allan "Gut" Terk. Terk, according to Sotheby's, was a Hells Angel, a Merry Prankster, and "a key figure in California counterculture in the 1960s. Friends with Ken Kesey, he was the painter of the Pranksters’ 'Further' bus in 1964 and designed the Acid Test Graduation posters. By 1967, through his work for the Dead, he was acclaimed in the Bay Area music scene for his t-shirt and poster art."

The shirt was part of an auction of more than 200 Grateful Dead-related items touted by Sotheby's as "From the Vault: Property From the Grateful Dead and Friends.”

A second shirt from the Healy collection, from a 1977 Dead concert stop at Cornell University, sold for US$15,120, making it the second most expensive vintage rock-band T-shirt ever sold at auction.

The shirt's skull-and-lightning-bolt art became known as the "Steal Your Face" logo and is one of the Dead's best-known trademarks today.

Sotheby's had the following to say about the "legendary" Cornell concert:

"Many consider this to be the 'Holy Grail' of the Dead’s performances, and recordings of it were collected and traded for years. In 2012, a recording of the performance from the original soundboard was selected for inclusion in the National Recording Registry of the Library of Congress, due to its cultural significance."

Other auction lots consigned by Grateful dead Productions and people associated with the band in the 1970s and '80s mostly consisted of instruments and equipment connected to the Dead's early touring years, including components of the famous Wall of Sound PA system, which was designed, built, and maintained by early concert sound innovator Owsley "Bear" Stanley, then Healy and Alembic Inc. Studios after Owsley was sentenced to a prison term for possession of LSD.

Robert Plant Donates Led Zeppelin T Shirt For Charity Auction

ROBERT Plant has donated a Led Zeppelin tee for a charity auction as Kidderminster College celebrates BBC 6 Radio Sounds annual T Shirt Day.

Students and staff are being encouraged to rep their favourite artist today (November 19) and hopefully get their band of choice on the radio.

Kidderminster College music students will also be taking to the KC Facebook LIVE at 7pm, showcasing their current work and material.

The college has said it's a great opportunity to highlight the "plight of the Creative Industries" and how purchasing merchandise such as t-shirts or other apparel helps musicians.

As part of the event, and to celebrate 50 years of Led Zeppelin, MAS Lab patron, Robert Plant, donated an Official Led Zeppelin prototype t-shirt for eBay auction, with all the proceeds going to the British Red Cross.

MAS Lab was set up in 2019 and is focused around performance-based projects joining social concern with creative action.

Kev Gammond, curator of MAS Lab said: "The collaboration of art and music will forever help make changes in the world. Without the creative industries, there is no activism, no voice, no joy."

From KISS Merch To Metal Mugs, Here’s Where To Find Unique Music Gifts Online

Products featured are independently selected by our editorial team and we may earn a commission from purchases made from our links; the retailer may also receive certain auditable data for accounting purposes.

As the holiday season draws closer, the ever-looming reality of fulfilling wish lists and gift requests is upon us. With the anxiety-inducing news about supply chain delays, combined with the social pressure to provide the perfect present, it feels like every day you’re not gift-hunting, you should be.

But trust us when we say it doesn’t have to be this way. We love a good one-stop shop when it comes to getting every gift you’ll need, including for the music-lovers in your life. Especially now that their favorite concert merch might be rarer and more expensive than ever thanks to pandemic-related delays. Where can you get some rocking merch all in one place that doesn’t involve waiting lists or constantly hitting refresh on a band’s site? Enter: Redbubble.

Redbubble has caught our eye this season since they have thousands of different designs for essentials to help transform any space into a music sanctuary, or show off your fierce genre preferences (disco will never die!) with unique posters, comfy room accessories, and high-quality stationary. While we have some easy ideas to help get you started, there is surprisingly something for everyone at Redbubble. If you like cozy mugs and hardcore death metal, they have it. If you like Star Trek and pugs, you can absolutely find a Star Trek Pug shirt. They even have some official band merch!

From wall art that shows off your love of record shops, to KISS-themed holiday pillows, we’ve gathered some of the best products that any music fan will enjoy for the holidays.

You can always remove the cover to wash it, or replace the insert with another KISS-themed cover once it’s finally time to take down the Christmas lights in January. The pillow is available in a 16 x 16 inch size.

2. Death Metal Sing-Along Classic T-Shirt Death Metal Sing-Along Classic T-Shirt

Do you have both The Monkees and Scream Bloody Gore by Death on vinyl? The good news is you don’t have to choose, but it can be a bit hard to find merch that conveys your unique and varied musical tastes. This Death Metal Sing-Along shirt is the best of both worlds.

Comfy enough for an everyday trip to the record store, the shirt has a classic, generous, and boxy fit, with sizes ranging from S to 3XL. It’ll stand up to head-banging to many a Partridge Family album (if that’s even something one can do) with its cotton/polyester blend and durable hemming.

4. 90s Retro Cassette Tape 90s Retro Cassette Tape Cap

My first cassette tape was Shakira’s Laundry Service (2001), which isn’t exactly the 90s, but let’s get real — the 90s lasted until at least 2004. For true 90s cassette tape collectors and enthusiasts, let everyone know about your massive collection.

You don’t have to be a dad to wear this relaxed polo-style cap, and it comes with a buckle closure for adjustable fit. The unstructured top and slightly curved bill make it perfect for blocking out the sun during music festivals, or just digging through cassette bins at swap-meets. You can also get the hat in a baseball cap style, and it comes in various colors.

Buy: 90s Retro Cassette Tape at $23.42

5. Make Everything Metal Mug Make Everything Metal Mug

From the cartoon Metalocalypse, Facebones is the mascot used by the most awesome death metal band ever — Dethklok. If all of that means nothing to you, and you’re just looking for a gift for the metal-head in your life, these mugs will still absolutely do the trick (although Redbubble is an officially licensed Metalocalypse partner, if you are a fan).

This ceramic mug holds 11 ounces of whatever liquid you find the most metal. It’s dishwasher-safe, and the wraparound design is printed for you when you order. The design comes in a classic or tall mug form, but either way, this is a great present for java fiends who also love to rock out.

Buy: Make Everything Metal Mug at $17.50

6. Neon MIDI Controller iPhone Case Neon MIDI Controller iPhone Case

A classic 80s music staple, we all know one person that bought an old midi controller off of Ebay and thinks they’re going to plink out the next Soundcloud album. Support their musical experimentation with this gloriously retro neon iPhone case.

The slim case comes in one piece, and has an impact-resistant polycarbonate shell with a protective lip, so it can take a few tumbles. If you’re worried about the design scratching off, the super-bright colors are embedded directly into the case. It’s available for models up to the iPhone 13 Pro Max, and is compatible with Qi-standard wireless and MagSafe charging.

Buy: Neon MIDI Controller iPhone Case at $27.35+

Local music venues, concert halls, and bars took a major hit during the pandemic — but live music has decidedly come back with a vengeance. Besides throwing down a couple bucks at your favorite spot, and if you’re feeling comfortable, attending in-person shows when you can, another way to show your support is with this home tapestry.

Whether you call it a wall tapestry, or a wall hanging, this is sure to be the new centerpiece of anyone’s living space. The vivid colors and fine line detail are thanks to the tapestry being printed-to-order. It’s made from a super lightweight 100 percent lightweight polyester, which won’t slip as much for hanging. Comes in Small (60 x 51 inches) to Large 104 x 88 inches) sizes.

Buy: Support Local Venues Tapestry at $33.81

8. Let’s Dance Retro Rainbow Text Laptop Skin Let's Dance Retro Laptop Skin

While Redbubble has certainly shown off their offerings for metal fans, where’s the disco representation? Whether you have Bowie’s Let’s Dance on repeat, or long for the days of Studio 54, this retro rainbow laptop skin is a funky present for anyone.

One bonus is that this form-fitting vinyl decal sticker provides resistance to minor scratches for your laptop, too. It’s easy and bubble-free to press on, but will remove quickly with no sticky residue. Choose from PC, to Macbook and Surface laptop sizes, all with the same glossy finish and vibrant colors.

9. Killer Tune Long Sleeve T-Shirt Killer Tune Long Sleeve T-Shirt

While some of us are having serious FOMO over here for missing out on the first round of Phantom of the Opera tickets (and the chance to watch Andrew Lloyd Webber DJ in NYC, apparently), fans of opera or classical will enjoy this simple, elegantly-designed shirt.

Ideal for chilly days and even chillier nights, this is the perfect soft long-sleeve tee for layering. It’s a cotton/polyester blend, so it won’t irritate if you’re sweating it at an outdoor concert in the winter. Available in size S to 2XL, it’s still a slim fit, so order a size up if you prefer for a more relaxed fit.

Buy: Killer Tune Long Sleeve T-Shirt at $25.70

Potential Buys: 2 Compelling ASX Shares

a man wearing a blue shirt: ASX shares Business man marking buy on board and underlining it © Provided by The Motley Fool ASX shares Business man marking buy on board and underlining it

There are some compelling ASX shares that may be interesting to look at.

Businesses with big growth plans and a commitment to investing for growth may good opportunities to consider.

Companies with large addressable markets or ones that operate in attractive industries can be solid ideas.

Here are two to think about:

Redbubble is an e-commerce business that is currently rated as a buy by analysts at Morgans, with a price target of $4.84. That’s 33% higher than where it’s at right now.

It operates two leading global online marketplaces – Redbubble.Com and TeePublic.Com. On those sites, it sells products with uncommon designs on them that have been designed by artists. Product categories includes apparel, stationery, housewares, bags, wall art and so on.

Redbubble says it’s uniquely positioned to be a significant winner in an addressable market of around US$300 billion. By 2024, that total addressable market is expected to rise to US$400 billion.

The ASX share is investing to achieve growth and reach annual marketplace revenue of US$1.25 billion in the next few years.

There are several trends that Redbubble believes is helping the business – structural shifts to e-commerce expected to endure, increasing consumer demand for unique and meaningful products, and a growing creator economy which enables scalable, dynamic source of unique designs.

Management are confident about the longer-term opportunity to grow strongly and see a growing earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) margin from scale benefits from areas like fulfilment scale efficiencies.

Redbubble has also acknowledged that it’s looking for acquisition opportunities that will help accelerate its growth.

Fortescue Metals Group Limited (ASX: FMG)

Fortescue is one of the largest iron ore miners on the ASX.

The brokers at Macquarie Group Ltd (ASX: MQG) currently rates Fortescue as a buy, with a price target of $21. That’s a potential upside of around 35% over the next 12 months.

Macquarie thought that the quarterly performance by the ASX share for the three months to 30 September 2021 was good. Fortescue reported that the first quarter iron ore shipments of 45.6 million tonnes (mt) were 3% higher than the first quarter of FY21. C1 costs of US$15.25 per wet metric tonne (wmt) were in line with the previous quarter.

The broker also noted the progress of Fortescue Future Industries (FFI), which is the ASX share’s green segment. It aims to take a global leadership position in the renewable energy and green products industry. FFI has a vision to make green hydrogen the most globally traded seaborne commodity in the world.

Recently, Fortescue Future Industries said it’s going to construct a global green energy manufacturing (GEM) centre in Gladstone, Queensland. The first stage development is an electrolyser factory with an initial capacity of two gigawatts.

The GEM has just received planning approval from the Queensland Government.

FFI also said that the GEM will be the first step in a series of projects that will continue to transform regional Australia through green industry manufacturing and energy production centres.

The initial electrolyser investment is expected to be up to US$83 million, with the first electrolysers scheduled for production in early 2023.

Looking at the FY23 estimates, the Fortescue share price is valued at 8x FY23’s estimated earnings with a FY23 grossed-up dividend yield of 13%.
